Burrito Kitty Giveaway

Look at that adorable little kitty! My little burrito :) Drew was, of course, the culprit in the burrito making. And, no, although the title of this post suggests otherwise, I'm not giving away my cat.

Because Ranger is so cute, I have a special prize for the 5 BEST (and by best, I mean funniest or most interesting) comments on this post: A FREE MONTH SPONSORSHIP ON MY BLOG! The 5 winners will receive prime viewership on the left column in the form of a 250 x 200 widget. I will announce the winners at the beginning of next week.

Gooooood luck!

New Look - New Feature

As you may have noticed, my blog got a little mini-makeover! The reason for that was to not only clean it up a bit, but also to provide room to start offering sponsorship. Pulchritude Fest is all about supporting individuals with a fire for creativity, fellow bloggers, young couples, handmade shops, & small businesses. I post approximately 3-5 times per week and sponsors will have their button featured on the left-hand column of my blog, specifically dedicated to sponsors. I would love to promote your blog through one of these three ways:

Ready to Sponsor?
Fantastic! Please copy and paste the following, along with your answers, in an email to the following address: jenny@maiedae.com.

1. What ad size would you like?
2. What link would you like your ad directed to?
3. Do you need an ad designed (see information below) or will you be providing your own ad?
4. What email address can I send your Paypal invoice to?

Need a Button Designed?
I currently offer button design for your ad space at $10.00 -- this includes a button that fits within Pulchritude Fest's ad space size, HTML coding for you to utilize the button in other places, and two additional sizes of the button in your choice of dimensions. Please email me if you are interested.

Wedding To-Do's

Still on my to-do list...

Pinterest Party!

Savannah and I hosted a wonderful craft party tonight! It was so much fun and we had such a great time getting to meet a few other girls in the Atlanta area. We decided to do a craft involving transferring a photo onto a canvas. However, the project takes 2 steps and the second step has to be done tomorrow after it dries, so I cannot show you that yet. After we finished the first part of our photo transfer, we decided to pull out the acrylics and do some painting! Here are the two things I painted:

I hope you had a great weekend! I'll show you the results of the photo transfer once it's finished. I'll also put up the steps that we used to make it.

Blog Design: The ista Diaries

I'm so excited to share with you a recent blog design I did for The ista Diaries. Sarah came to us wanting to completely re-design her fashion and lifestyle blog. The ista Diaries is about Sarah's "personal style, creative pursuits, daily life, and inspiration." Sarah lives in Las Vegas, NV, with her husband, Jake. She enjoys many things including: writing, styling, traveling, photography, singing, thrifting, dancing, road-tripping, and going anywhere with Jake.

It was so fun working with Sarah and I'm excited about the results! Check out the full design or become a new reader by clicking here!

Maiedae has been busy with blog designs and we are loving every minute. We currently offer two great blog design packages, as well as a comprehensive À la carte Menu for those of you just looking for a custom banner or simple addition. 11 Random Things About Pulchritude//Fest:

1. My favorite color is blue.
2. I prefer to live in the country rather than the big city.
3. I played classical piano for ten years.
4. I graduated from Berry College with a degree in Visual Communication (Graphic Design) and a minor in Psychology.
5. Growing up, I always wanted to be an architect or an interior designer.
6. My siblings' nickname for me growing up was Jonathan, because my older brother wanted me to be a boy.
7. I enjoy singing in the shower or in the car by myself...even though I'm not very good.
8. Reading is one of my favorite hobbies! Give me a good book and a comfy chair and I'm gone.
9. I was a little bit of a nerd in middle and high school.
10. I love animals!!! Especially really big dogs and sweet kitties.
11. Decorating is one of my favorite things to do - I spend too much time drawing out each room, planning every square inch of space, and developing color concepts before I move somewhere. It's a little ridiculous.

Her Answers: (to the questions offered by the tagger)

1. What inspires you about a sunset? I love sunsets! But, who doesn't? Because I'm an artist, sunsets remind me that God has created me in His image - that He is the ultimate artist. They also remind me of the beauty of creation and to stop and enjoy, more intentionally, all that is around me.
2. Describe one moment where you felt completely confident in who you were. I think in high school I really struggled with being confident in who I am. However, since then, I have become very confident in who I am as a person and the gifts and talents I have been given. I don't know if there has been one specific "moment" where I have felt completely confident; there has just been a steady increase in healthy confidence since high school and now I feel completely confident in who I am as a woman.
3. What is one question you have been struggling with lately? Recently, I've been struggling with the question of what it looks like to be an excellent wife to my future husband. I've been learning a lot about marriage and what it means to truly serve one another through love and respect. It's been challenging, but I really love it!
4. Name three people, besides those related to you by marriage or blood, who mean the world to you. Explain why. Savannah, Anica, & Alyssa. These three girls mean the world to me because they were not only my best friends in college, but because even though we are sometimes hundreds of miles apart, I feel as though we are still with each other. They have been an inspiration to me to be a better person, to pursue God with more passion, and to follow my dreams. I am who I am today partly because of these three ladies and I love them each for their unique qualities.
5. When was the last time you laughed with abandon? What brought on the sensation? Actually, last night. Drew came over to bring me hot and sour soup and chicken fried rice since I've been sick. The whole night, he kept following Ranger around saying in an Asian accent, "Chicken fried rice five dollar!! You no pay!!" Ranger was so freaked out; it was hysterical.
6. If you were to write a novel, what would it be about? If I were to write a novel, it would have the theme of encouraging women in who they are and inspiring them towards self confidence in their life purpose.
7. Which unfinished project from your past nags at you the most? I started collecting special t-shirts from my past to make a t-shirt quilt...and, sadly, it was never finished. (Or even really started.)
8. Do you have any regrets thus far in life? I have many regrets. However, I do not dwell on the past because I can not change it. I can only focus on making the right choices today and pursuing right relationships.
9. Which means more to you: a booming voice, or the still small voice? The still small voice means more to me because it takes more patience and perseverance to hear. I believe God speaks in a still small voice and waits for us to be still and listen to Him.
10. Which part of your daily appearance do you typically take the most pride in? I really enjoy picking out outfits to wear and expressing myself through clothing. It is really fun for me! Also, I love makeup - it's like a canvas on your face! I get to be creative everyday in these ways.
11. Do you believe that God has a plan for your life? Absolutely! And it's a good one, too!

Save the Date Design

I'm so excited to show you the Save the Date I designed for our wedding! Whoop whoop! It's postcard-sized and I had my parents' return address printed on the back so I could just stick them in the mail "as is." The wedding is getting closer!! Oh, and by the way, the spring selection of suits isn't out until next month. So, we are waiting to buy Drew's suit until there is a wider selection.

We did have a really fun date at Cafe Intermezzo!! It's my absolute FAVORITE coffee place in Atlanta. They have an amazing selection of cheesecakes as well. We got a piece of Reese's cheesecake and a piece of Bailey's cheesecake. And, of course, I got a huge cup of bohemian latte. ;)

P.S. My sister is due in three weeks!!!!! I'm going to be an auntie soon :)

Late Night Inspiration

I am almost over being sick! Yay! I'm still trying to come up with a color palette for Drew's and my future living room. I love the comfy-cozy feel combined with chic elegance.

On another note, Drew and I are planning to pick out his suit for the wedding tomorrow! Things are really coming together quite well. Oh! and I've got some really neat projects I've been working on to show you soon, so keep on the look out.
