rowan's nursery

I'm so excited with Rowan's nursery theme!! I had no idea what I was going to do with the nursery, and I'm honestly not that into "themes", but I just started pinning things I liked. And then, I noticed a trend in what I was pinning - woodland animals and the outdoors. Which got me thinking ... Drew loves the outdoors, animals, camping, bow and arrows, etc. so... wouldn't it make perfect sense for our little Rowan to have an outdoor adventure themed nursery?! It's perfect for us and I love all of the beautiful watercolor prints I can find with animals :) We will hang up some arrows and maybe even get a little teepee for the room! :)

I'm going to keep the room bright by painting the walls something like Huntington White by Benjamin Moore and the trim a super bright white like I'm working on in the rest of the house. Drew's mom was kind enough to let us use the Jenny Lind crib Drew used as a baby and a small love seat sofa that I'll put a grey slipcover on. Then, I'll paint the dresser I have in a fun light blue color to use as a changing table and add a lot of colorful accents to the walls. I also want to make a leaf mobile and hang some floating shelves for a reading nook. I'm so excited I can hardly wait to get started!! Check out more of what I've pinned for the nursery here!
